Learn Gods Word, Love Gods Word, Live Gods Word

When Words are Few

Twenty twenty has been a difficult year. It will forever be a year that stains our memory and stings our minds eye. For some, it’s been an incredible time of self reflection and solitude but for others its been a time of uneasiness and angst. Whatever your journey has looked like in the last seven weeks, Jesus remains the same in all situations. His promises hold true and His character remains unchanged. He is always true to Who He says He is.

When my words are few and unfinished sentences leave their mark on my blank page, when all that white space speaks so much louder than the sound of my fingertips dancing their way across my keyboard, when my emotions are raw and reality has hit home; I draw close to the throne of grace. The ever welcoming and open arms of my Lord, beckons me in and embraces my wanderings.

I know this to be true always;

This is my Jesus:

He is merciful.
He is faithful.
He is good.
He is gentle.
He is humble.
He is honest.
He is righteous.
He is compassionate.
He is slow to anger.
He is praiseworthy.
He has no equal.
He brings restoration.
He pardons us.
He beckons us.
He reconciles us to Himself.
He is abounding in love.
He saves, salvation is found in no other name than the name of Jesus.
He is all powerful.
He is all-knowing.
He is all present.
He is all-sufficient.
He is never changing.
He is the miracle worker.
He is the God who moves the mountains.
He is our Maker.
He is the Creator.
He is the Potter.
He is the Ruler of Heaven and earth.
He is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.
He is near to all who call on Him.
He holds the world in His hands.
He is our defender.
He is our strength.
He is our shield.
He is our refuge.
He is our healer.
He is our conquerer.
He is our friend.
He is the God who makes a way for us.
He is close to the broken-hearted.
He puts the lonely into families.
He surrounds us.
He protects us.
He watches over us.
He blesses us.
He shows us which way to go.
He can do the impossibe.
He is our ever-present help in trouble.
He is truth.
He is real.
He is our rest.
He is our shelter.
He is our prince of peace.
He is our wonderful counselor
He is our comforter.
He is our guide.
He is our future.
He is our source of hope.
He is our source of joy.
He is kind.
He is patient.
He is unfathomable.
He is our holy confidence.
He is our rescuer.
He is our Saviour.
He is our freedom.
He is our friend.
He is our everlasting Father.
He is our mighty God.
He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
He is who He says He is.
He is incomprehensible.
He is the promise keeper.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
He is in control.
He is powerful.
He is wise.
He is the glory of Heaven.
He is holy.
He is the living water.
He is the gate to heaven.
He is the good Shepherd.
He is the way, the truth and the life.
He is the light of the world.
He is the true vine.
He is the bread of life.
He is the resurrection and the life.
He is victorious.
He is worthy.
He is eternal.
He is sovereign.
He is forever.
He is Immanuel, God with us.
He is the King of kings.
He is the Lord of lords.
He is the Lion and the Lamb.
He is the Great I Am.
He is risen.
He is alive.
He sits on the throne.
He is Jesus.

When your words are few and emotions are raw and reality has hit home; this will always be true of your God. He beckons you in and embraces your wanderings. His promises hold true and His character remains unchanged. He is always true to Who He says He is.
