Learn Gods Word, Love Gods Word, Live Gods Word

Believe

A few months ago, I felt God ask me this question: ‘Robynne, what if I never heal you? Will you still believe that I am good?’

I have been involved in many a conversation about Gods plan with regards to healing. A truth we all need to seek out for ourselves. A grappling that can only take place at the feet of Jesus. No argument this side of heaven will ever satisfy our curious and cautious wonderings. An answer only found in Him.

There’s a war that’s waging in my heart. I long to see Gods hand of healing over my life. But until I do, I cling to Jesus in this season, and I look to Him, waiting for Him. I have come to believe that sometimes God allows us to walk through these seasons of suffering and difficulties to draw us closer to Himself. What if our battles are for our benefit? What if God has a purpose in our pain? What if our misfortunes turn into miracles?

What if disappointment is really the exact appointment your soul needs to radically experience God?

I had a revelation this week about Gods miracles. I’ve been pleading with God, desperate to see His miracle-working hand over my life. He is the God of miracles. I felt this truth stab my heart like an arrow pierces the bull’s eye: what is the one basic requirement for a miracle? An impossible situation.

We so often pray for Gods hand over our lives, and then when the waters get choppy and the storm rages on – we buckle in fear and doubt. It’s in these very moments that God asks us to stand up firm and fight, to be bold and believe. Impossible situations are Gods specialty. Our need for control will cause us to be clumsy and careless and it will leave us feeling crushed. But as we look to Christ and trust in Him and His timing, we will triumph over our troubles.

Let’s relish in the impossible situations of life. An impossible situation seasoned with child-like faith is a platform for great things to happen. A faith that believes no matter what. A faith that looks stupid. A faith that is ridiculous in nature. A faith that moves mountains. I believe. I believe in the Author and Perfector of my faith – Jesus – the One who makes faith possible.

Won’t you let your sorrow turn into surrender unto our King?

“Daughter, because you dared to believe, your faith has healed you. Go with peace in your heart, and be free from your suffering!” Mark 5:34

Trust and faith require a little less griping and a lot more grappling in prayer – seeking the face of Jesus in everything we do. The key is to keep Jesus as our focus. Keeping Jesus at the core, no matter how crusty things may get.

Do you still believe that He is a good God? Life is messy, and we so easily get tangled up in the mess and chaos of it all. It’s so easy to shift our focus from the face of Jesus to the hand of Jesus. There’s a song by Lauren Daigle, the lyrics read as follows:

Before I bring my need
I will bring my heart
Before I lift my cares
I will lift my arms
I wanna know You
I wanna find You
In every season
In every moment
Before I bring my need
I will bring my heart
And seek You

In every season, in every moment, in every question, in every situation, in every struggle, and in every success – we need to learn to praise the name of Jesus. The name that is above all names. The name that is above all things. The name that towers over every cloud that we may pass through. I choose to praise the name of Jesus through every moment of pain or pleasure. Because in every season He has flavoured our path with purpose. May His praises forever be on my lips.

May our hearts always be in a condition of praise. May our lips always worship Him. May our arms always exalt Him. May our prayers always be: “Jesus, I will worship you until the very end even if I never see your rescuing hand over this area of my life.”

He is a good God. And I will sing until the miracle comes. And I will sing even if it doesn’t. I believe.

You are here
Moving in our midst
I worship you
I worship you
You are here
Working in this place
I worship you
I worship you

Way-maker
Miracle worker
Promise keeper
Light in the darkness
My God
That is who you are
Way-maker
Miracle worker
Promise keeper
Light in the darkness
My God
That is who you are
